Hosts hospitable, friendly and welcoming, excellent breakfast with good choice. Room and en-suite rather small. Situated centrally for Hawkshead and nearby pubs and shops within walking distance.

The hosts made us very welcome. The bedroom was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. However the room was not serviced after our first night ,nor, coffee or tea replenished. The lounge and dining room were chaotic with too much furniture and furnishings and cats which would be a problem for anyone with allergies. The breakfast was excellent with lovely fruit salad accompanying the cereals.

Lots of character

Steve and Sharon, the owners, welcomed us warmly and gave really useful advice about local walking. It's a beautiful old cottage with lots of character in a stunning area of the lakes. Steve cooked a delicious breakfast with service and presentation to match. I hope to return sometime.
