This property has been perfectly remodeled! Good location only 10 min from Amalfi, only downside was the air conditioning takes a long time to cool the bedrooms and they need to maintain drains better…one shower backed up and the amount of hair they pulled out to unclog showed the lack of preventative maintenance which inconvenienced us.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying at Villa Donna Rachele. The biggest issue was the AC, which was basically nonexistent during a HEAT WAVE. The rooms were extremely uncomfortable. We raised the issue, but maintenance was only offered after I stated that the lack of response would be reflected in my review—and even then, they offered to send someone on the day we were leaving. There were also ants everywhere, including in the bed. The jacuzzi was dirty, and the shower in the bedroom connected to the bathroom overflowed when used. The TV in the room had no remote and was not connected to the internet like the living room TV, so there was no access to Netflix or other streaming services. The instructions for the property were also terrible. We didn’t find out until our last day that there is a specific recycling/garbage system depending on the day. The stairway lighting at night is also unsafe, as only a few of the lights actually worked. Lastly, the location may look like you are saving money compared to a hotel in Amalfi, but what you save you will likely spend on taxis going back and forth to town/sea level. Overall, get a hotel. I would not stay here again.

Fantastisch mooi modern huis met jacuzzi en terrastuin met uitzicht op zee. Direct aan de woonkamer en keuken een balkonterras onder een rij citroenen bomen. Het huis is via een afsluitbaar hek bereikbaar met een veilige trap met rond de 100 treden naar beneden van de parkeerplek maar dan heb je ook het meest fantastische uitzicht aan de Amalfikust. Wel uitsluitend geschikt voor mensen die goed ter been zijn. Het huis heeft 3 zeer ruime slaapkamers met 2 persoonsbedden met goede matrassen. Één slaapkamer heeft een aansluitende badkamer, twee slaapkamers hebben ieder een eigen separate badkamer op de gang, alle voorzien van een moderne inloopdouche, wastafels, bidet en toilet. De keuken is volledig ingericht en is voorzien van een grote koelkast, vriezer en vaatwasser. Ook zijn er buiten een ingebouwde wasmachine en een droger. De laatste niet nodig gehad want de was kon ook uitgehangen worden op een kledingrek en was snel droog door de Italiaanse zon en de aangename zeebries. Amalfi is een mooi dorpje te midden van vele andere mooie plaatsen aan de Amalfikust. Francesco (van SMAAC) heeft ons telefonisch super goed geïnformeerd m.b.t. in- en uitchecken en m.b.t. vragen of verzoeken over het huis voor wat betreft maintenance en schoonmaak. Heel fijn! We hebben er ontzettend genoten!
