Casa Escher is one of four independent apartments, each unique in terms of type and number of beds, all meticulously designed down to the last detail.
The four apartments are located in the historic palazzo perched above the sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It also boasts a charming independent villa with frescoed vaults.
The spacious interiors and the striking views of the apartments can be enjoyed in all seasons.
Casa Esher is a beautiful apartment located on the second floor of the building and is elegantly furnished in shades of blue, with refined white and blue tiles with a star shape design of the 700. On the walls there are drawings of Escher, a lover of the Amalfi Coast.
The apartment is composed of:
- a lovely lounge with original fireplace;
- a double bedroom with panoramic sea view balcony and access to the garden;
- a bedroom with a double bed (on request with 2 single beds) with terrace and sea view;
- a dining room with an elegant cuisine, with access to the garden;
- two comfortable bathrooms, one with bath;
- a garden with a dining table, sofa and chairs. On the same level but, separated, there is the garden used by the guests of the apartment Klimt.
All apartments are equipped with:
- Air conditioning in the rooms,
- wi~fi, covered in all the buildin,
- fully equipped kitchen (with oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, cookware, dishes, cutlery, accessories and washing machine),

HOUSE RULES
- Check in is from 16.00 to 21.30. For arrivals after 21:30 until 00:30 there is an extra charge of EUR 50,00; After 23.30 the extra fee is of EUR 100 and the time is to be confimed in agreement with us. SUNDAY and HOLYDAY CHECK IN: there is a surcharge of EUR 50,00 to be paid upon arrival. All requests for late arrival are subject to confirmation by the property.
- Price including: Linen and towels, mid week cleaning (it includes cleaning of bathrooms and the change of linen and towel), only for weekly rentals. Any extra change of linen and towel has an extra cost of € 18,00 per person.
- Not included:
*City tax € 3 per person per night.
*Electricity/air conditioning included up 80kwh extra consumption EUR 0,40 per kwh.
*Heating EUR 140,00 per week
- There would be a penalty of an extra € 50,00 if the house will be too dirty and untidy and if the garbage will be in the apartment
- Extra cleaning on request: € 20,00 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours.
- At the departure the apt has be left tidy, with the kitchen clean and free from rubbish. Eventually, these conditions are not respected will be deducted from the deposit an amount corresponding to the hours of cleaning necessary to bring the property clean.
*Please be nice and use the air conditioning only when needed and with windows closed and PLEASE switch off it when you are not in the house and at your departure. Be nice to the environment * It is forbidden the use of candles, the floor can be damaged.
- Please note that power cuts are common in this area so do not use all the electrical appliances all together otherwise the power may cut out.
- ALWAYS SWITCH OFF LIGHTS AND ELECTRICAL OR GAS APPLIANCES WHEN THEY ARE NOT IN USE AND WHEN YOU GO OUT

The approximate arrival time, way of arrival (by air and/or using a car or public transportation) including flight or train details and contact number needs to be communicated to us by email at least a week before the arrival. This will help us arrange a meeting that addresses all your needs and questions. In case you are delayed, please give us a telephone call to advise the estimated time of arrival.
- The property has not parking but we can help to reserve a parking space at an extra charge. It needs to be booked in advancde
- The preferes set of the bedrooms: 2 Double or 1 double and 2 single beds.
- On your arrival will be required to sign a contract and the house inventory and copy of all the passports.
- The departure time to meet you and check the apartment.
HISTORY
As evidence of the historic villa in Amalfi is the mention found of this beautiful residence in the famous book on the Costiera Amalfitana ~ entitled Costa del le Sirene published in 1867.
In Amalfi, the people refer to the villa as the "Palace" , which was purchased in 1943 by the Marquis Francesco Mottola of Amato. Renovated by the heirs which sought to emphasize the architectural beauty of the villa, the airiness of the rooms, and to delight the senses by planning an exquisite garden. In 2004 the villa was declared a "monument of national interest" by the Ministry of Culture.
AROUND
It stands on the western side of Amalfi, along the road to Positano, immediately after the luxurious Hotel Santa Caterina. It has a privileged location with a feast of astounding views. The villa is situated at ca 500 metres from the beautiful beach of Duoglio (Lido degli Artisti), which can be accessed via a spectacular descent of steps or by one of many boats that leave from the harbour (10/15 minutes walk from the Villa).Recently renovated by the current owners and heirs, the villa is equipped with all modern comforts, yet retains it s elegant aristocratic character, including the fascinating cave that gives access to the elevator.
It is close to many outstanding villages, historic sites and locations (Ravello, Positano, Emerald Grotto, Paestum, Pompeii, Capri, etc..), offers access to the great cities of Naples and Salerno, and is ideally situated to enjoy the many attractions and events that the Amalfi Coast can offer.
