Breakfast was ok. Sometimes scramble eggs and the ham smelled so bad I could not eat them at all. Coffee was great and the time to start serving breakfast (6:30am) was so convenient for me. Air condition was leaking the last three days I was staying there. They sent the maintenance team every time to repair it, but start leaking once again at night. The maintenance and cleaning teams were so loud in the morning right upfront of my room door since their room was exactly on front of my room and the door was squeaky. Building was old and nasty. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is amazing. The view was simply spectacular from my balcony, loved it.

This is an excellent little hotel not too far from the “city centre”. All stays include buffet breakfast (630-930am). Rooms were clean, spacious and had a great view of the ocean / marina. A/C, cable tv and WiFi were all standard (WiFi password & QR code are at the front desk). There is also no resort fee or “incidental hold” on my card. I simply walked in with my passport, signed the booking form and collected my keys. There are small snacks and drinks available for purchase at the front desk. Credit card is widely accepted here (and across Panama in general). You’ll rarely find a “cash only” place. That being said, ATMs are abundant and they all spit out USD. Foreign cards are limited to $250usd per withdrawal but there’s nothing stopping you from doing more than 1 transaction. The location is great for a simple stay. You have a great view of the ocean, the entire causeway has a walkway littered with a vast array of foods, snacks and adult dining. Transport to/from the area is a breeze. I’ve gotten Ubers in seconds because they’re always in the area. Cheap transport to places like Biomuseo, Bridge of Americas, Multiplaza Mall, Casco Viejo (<$10 but most averaged $2-4usd) The front desk is versed in both English and Spanish and you can get by just fine if you know little to no Spanish. My only issue was: 1. My room had only a fridge. No microwave. No coffeemaker

Room cleaned everyday, staffs are nice, friendly and honest. Shops and restaurants are just downstairs of the hotel, very convenient. Don't like the noise outside late at night on the weekend. Other than that love it there.

Terrible hotel staff. The ceiling of our room collapsed during our stay and damaged all of our shopping items. When we came home in the evening we found all of our clothing spread out to dry whi h was a breach of privacy. When we inquired about the incident the hotel staff were very evasive and kept saying it's a minor inconvenience. They treated us terribly

Spot is great for those who want to stay away from the city and bustle of the large crowd and stay more with the locals. There were areas for tourists like the slingshot tour and stops for hop on hop off bus, but it was mainly for locals to enjoy night life! Which I personally enjoyed. Great spot, I would just have to comment on the noise level being pretty high till 2am and the bed was slightly more firm for my taste. Overall, I would recommend this stay if you’re looking for a budget friendly option that is also nice!

Friendly staff. Free breakfast with fresh fruits served with a smile. My room was exactly as shown in photos. An extra added bonus was the view of the marina, a variety of restaurants with excellent food choices, a mini mart and various shops for souvenirs and gifts for family and friends. I would definitely recommend and stay at the Marinn Tropical again. I loved my 10 day stay.

Good location for Las Perlas ferry

This hotel is great if you need to catch the early ferry in the morning to Contadora. Other than that, I would stay somewhere else. Panama City has so many wonderful places and neighborhoods. This was a choice based solely on location.
