From Alresford to Alton, the "Watercress Line" still travels through the beautiful Hampshire countryside. Now this quaint and beautiful town is ideal for a leisurely stroll thanks to its colourful Georgian homes, independent and specialised stores, and eclectic mix of charming inns, trendy cafes, and classic tea rooms. Take a stroll along the riverbank and check out the 13th-century Fulling Mill, or spend some time at Old Alresford Pond, which is teeming with otters and other waterfowl. The Millennium Trail is a network of walkways that winds through and connects the town, providing a great opportunity to learn about and appreciate the local culture and history.
