The stay was just for overnight on way to Edinburgh. The hotel itself ok but the town was cute walkable and right on the North Sea. Found a great pub and then a restaurant for an amazing dinner. The hotel did live up to the haunted tales as we did experience something paranormal but not scary.

Clearly there are some issues regarding the management if the hotel as the decor was tired, some things like the bathroom extraction did not work and it was evident that underneath the beds had not been cleaned in a long time. All of these reviews are correct. I stayed here for one night, and it was basically fine. Towels were obviously clean (as in they had been washed) but were stained; bedding was clean. Some hairs in the shower etc … The decor is in need of

Room was very tired with exposed electrical wires, the room has never been dusted (cobwebs everywhere). Worst of all the bedding on one of the beds has never been changed from previous guests. Majority of the bedding and towels had marks on them. Would never go back
