My only regret is not staying longer. Everything about our stay was perfect. The owners are wonderful! We drove in from across Spain, and we were ready to unwind after a long journey; they made us feel at home - we loved it. This stay, albeit short, was one of the highlights of our trip. We loved staying at Casa Dona Edite! It’s a tastefully decorated, modern guesthouse and the owners, Antonio and Cristina and their son, Eduardo are the perfect hosts. Cristina is an excellent Cook and baker, and we strongly recommend to have your dinner meals there. She also bakes loaves and cakes as part of the breakfast offerings. Well worth the drive up the hill to stay at their place!

I can’t say enough good things about the family that runs Casa Dona and the property. They went above and beyond for our stay. From recommendations on what to do, traditional Portuguese dinners being served; cooked by the family and when my wife and I couldn’t get a taxi in the morning they drove us to the train station. The property was beautiful, clean and quiet.

Amazing hidden gem in Douro valley!

What an amazing stay! This place is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The location is amazing. The best part are the amazing hosts! They make it very comfortable and can provide great local tips. Very relaxing environment and a great breakfast included. It was such a good hidden gem that my wife and I considered canceling the rest of our travel plans the next week to just stay, relax and take in the area.
