Rustic beach side villa within a walled garden set in a bay 13km from Tarifa.

Sajama is a unique, substantial and older house with a lot of character . It has a large, beautiful walled-garden, with pool , tropical plants, sofa area with BBQs .The garden and pool can be illuminated at night .
There are three large roof terraces on different levels with breathtaking views over the bay to Gibraltar and the National Park.
The villa is cool ,comfortable,spacious and well equipped.
There are air-conditioning and heater units in all the bed rooms and two log burners which keep the house cosy in winter. We use fans for a hot night.
The house is a couple of hundred yards from the Beach of Getares on the Tarifa end of The Bay of Algeciras .
From our house the National Parks of the Straits of Gibraltar merges with Los Alcornocales to form a green and unspoilt area along this protected and beautiful coast line all the way to Cadiz.
There is alot to do locally and also further afield and four mountain bikes to borrow. However , when most people come , they tend to stay in a lot and relax in this private garden by the pool ,occasionally popping down to the beach or local shops and restaurants .

It is a family home NOT a luxury villa and NOT as the Spanish would say
“ impecable “!
It is weathered by the sea ,there will be petals in the pool ,leaves sand and wildlife everywhere in the garden which is integral to its charm.
We are renovating it slowly ,in the traditional style but it is not
“high spec”. In the lockdown our wonderful care taker ,Manolo put in a new septic tank ,biological filters ,new drains, electrical wiring , all over painting ,renovated windows ,shutters and new outdoor sofa covers .
We care about the environment,so although we try to keep rust stained towels and sheets for family use ,please accept that we won’t be throwing away perfectly comfortable usable things just for appearances.
NB please ,as it says in the House Rules do not waste electricity, gas and water. We check that you have not exceeded the average use of electricity.

The sea brings sand and salt in equal measures. Things like waxed table tops can feel sticky -that is the salt . And the wind blows sand ,leaves petals and seeds all over the place. We try to have the house and garden clean for your arrival but would have to wash everything every few days for it to be remain as clean as can be.
