Overall, this was an okay spot for a quick getaway, but there are some things future guests should know.Inside was clean and presentable, and the cabin worked fine for our family. Our 10- and 7-year-old slept on the pullout while we used the bedroom. Grocery storage is very limited and there is no regular oven. There is a pizza oven, but oddly, no pizza cutter.Communication with the hosts was disappointing. When we reached out with questions, we were told they were also “on vacation.” Once we connected, our questions still weren’t really answered, mostly just a “God bless.”The TVs are basically monitors with no HDMI cords, streaming devices, or viewing options. We planned to be outside most of the day, but with kids it would have been nice to have something available in the evening. Outside needs attention. There were cobwebs on the fire-pit chairs, dock area, etc. There is a nice Blackstone grill, although not listed, but the drip tray hadn’t been emptied. Be aware that the lawn, driveway, dock, kayaks and outdoor amenities are shared with the larger rental next door. The lake was our biggest issue. Water was so low we couldn’t properly dock our boat and later got stuck in the shallow water. The dock area is very weedy and the beach isn’t maintained enough that I’d recommend it for swimming.
