Another review said "it is what you pay for". I would agree it is a good hotel that is clean but if you know Albuquerque, this is not the safest area. However, they do have a security guard that patrols the parking lot at night which made me feel much better.

Whatever chemicals they use to hide the odor of this well worn hotel are so strong they made the stay very unpleasant. The rooms and hallways smell like a men's restroom at an aging airport. Super strong cleaning perfume smells. So strong, in fact, that even my clothing and my luggage smelled like it when I arrived back home. I have been airing out my luggage on my back porch but two days later the smell is still there. Luckily we were out running around in town most of the time but it really made it hard to sleep at night due to the overpowering fumes, so much so that we had to sleep with the balcony door open. The freeway traffic noise was better than chocking on chemicals.

Staff was nice. Locked out of room twice. Everyday I was billed a different price, when quoted specific price on line. FREE breakfast was not offered...I had to pay, and only one person greeting, seating and serving. Numerous clusters of homeless in the area. I would not choose to stay there again. Prices did not match the service.

Room was great and updated. Liked that the bar was open late and dining was available. Great breakfast options in the restaurant and the portions were large. There was no where to walk to as property was next to freeway and industrial area.
