Wonderful stay at White Villa Resort Ahungalla.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Fanstastic chef in the kitchen (wonderful food). And nice, helpful and kind staff. Always there to make sure we were doing fine. Perfect location on a rock, and at a nice beach. Negative: a bit garbage and plastic floating around the hotel. Household could improve. We would love to come back to this hotel some day!

Fantastic location. Staff at reception extremely helpful. Only criticism was the buffet breakfast the food was served cold. However they would cook you fresh eggs to your requirement.

Hotel in sehr guter Lage. Leider wurden uns jedoch nicht die gebuchten zwei Zimmer mit Merrblick, sondern Zimmer im dunklen Untergeschoss des Hauses angeboten. Der Service ist nett, jedoch kommtes es auf Grund der nicht so guten Englichkenntnisse manchmal zu Missverständnissen.

Close to the beach and great sunset

Found the hotel and staff very accommodating. Happy to help and offer advice to guests. Room was comfortable. Close to the beach and the sunset view from the hotel was amazing. Had dinner one evening in the hotel delicious and plenty of food.

Great location, bad service.

The location of the resort and the facilities are excellent. This is probably the best location in Ahungalla beach. However, service was pathetic. The staff is nice and well-intentioned, but they really need some serious training. They do the best they know, but I guess a proper manager who has some experience in running such places is required. Communication was a complete breakdown. They could hardly understand or communicate in English.

Too expensive ! Need strong renovation

White Villas hotel has a great location next to a long beach but that s all... Unfortunetely the all hotel need renovation (pool, garden) and all is vey expensive (breakfast, lunch,dinners). if you gonna stay there, go to the little restaurant next to the resort, better food and cheaper (also cold beers!) At check In, our room has a very unpleasant smell. They gave us another room, very tiny ( there are 4 like this) then we changed to a room with balcony who was nice (they have 3 rooms like this). Staff is nice and attentive but they can't do more.... Also note that they welcome also groups from Colombo for 1 day so the all hotel is packed from morning till evening....
