A fantastic stay!

We had a fantastic stay. The house and location was great and we could not get enough of the stunning views from the house. The house was very comfortable with high standard with good socializing areas. We felt at home! Several good restaurants in Plakias and Sellia and the beaches are fantastic.

Stunning stay

The most stunning villa in the most spectacular location! We loved it and can’t wait to return. Joseph was a brilliant host. We will always have magical family memories of our holiday in Crete.

A lovely, well-appointed property with all the necessities in a quiet location. Very nice guest welcome pack with good recommendations for restaurants and local sites. Views from the house are stunning and communication with the owner was excellent and fluid.

Fantastic and very prompt comms from Joseph (the host). The Villa exceeds all expectations set by the listing - beds super comfy and plumbing excellent. Superb location - wandered into the village each evening for great food; beaches (if you really have to) are a short drive away. In our opinion, the best part of the Island too. Faultless. Will be back.

Panoramic Views from a High-Quality Property

We loved the beautiful sea and mountain views from Thea Zalia, a well-designed and comfortable place to stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the living room has large windows and high ceilings, making it feel spacious. The master bedroom suite overlooks Sellia, the mountain range, and the sea. The outdoor area features a fantastic infinity pool with views of the sea and mountains. The property is close to lovely beaches like Souda, Plakias, Damnoni, and Ammoudaki. It's also within walking distance of the center of Sellia, where there are great restaurants like Elia, Kounenos Grill, Panostrati, and Merastri. Joseph, our host, was very responsive and provided all the information we needed for a fantastic stay. Andreas came by almost every day to take care of the pool and garden. The building and outdoor areas are well designed to lessen the impact of the seasonal Meltemi winds, which often occur in the area.

What a fantastic place!

Beautiful spacious villa with all mod cons. Views to die for! The master bedroom is absolutely amazing. We did not want to leave. The villa is immaculately presented. |t has been very thoughtfully built and furnished. Only an 8 min walk to village where there are 2 fantastic tavernas. We walked into Plakias which took 45 minutes (nice views all the way down) and got a taxi back - all very easy. Plakias has all you would wish for; great supermarket, bars and restaurants. Beaches well served; especially eastern end. We did not get time to do everything we wanted to do so just had to book again for next year. Yes it can be a little windy but we only had wind for a day or so; a little excuse to leave and have great beach days!

Das Haus ist sehr schön gelegen mit phantastischem Blick auf die umliegenden Berge und das Meer. Die Architektur ist elegant und berücksichtigt Wind und Sonne perfekt. Von innen wirkt das Haus deutlich größer als es die Fotos suggerieren, wohl auch durch die hohen Decken und die großen Fensterfronten. Wir hatten einige Tage schlechtes Wetter; es war aber selbst dann toll, vom gemütlichen Sofa oder den Sesseln aus dem Master-Bedroom durch die großen Fensterfronten Landschaft und Natur zu beobachten. Von innen ist das Haus sehr geschmackvoll und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns die direkte Anbindung an das Dorf; der Supermarkt und die Restaurants sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Für Ausflüge braucht man ein Auto, dann ist Plakias mit seinen schönen Stränden und dem Felsenpfad einen Katzensprung entfernt und ins hübsche und belebte Rethymno fährt man eine gute halbe Stunde. Die Restaurants im Ort, die in der Vorsaison schon geöffnet hatten (Panostrati und Kouneno) haben unkompliziertes, aber wirklich gutes Essen angeboten, auch für Vegetarier und Veganer war etwas Gutes dabei, und der Service war super herzlich. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Toll aber etwas windig

Es war eine tolle Woche, das Haus ist mega schön, noch schöner als Online auf den Bildern.Moderne Ausstattung - es fehlt nix. Das große Schlafzimmer mit Badewanne im Zimmer und Panoramablick ein Traum wenn man morgens aufwacht. Leider war es in der Woche etwas windig - dadurch konnte der tolle Pool nicht so intensiv genutzt werden. Lage und Ausgangspunkt zu Ausflügen super.

Quelle chance d avoir pu séjourner dans une si belle propriété perchée entre mer et montagne avec une vue à couper le souffle! Nous nous y sommes sentis immédiatement bien, et avons adoré pouvoir nous y reposer, nous ressourcer, tout en contemplant cette belle nature! Tout était parfait! Et Tout les petits restaurants aux alentours étaient top Encore merci, nous y reviendrons sans aucun doute!

Geweldige villa.

Geweldige moderne villa. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Gelegen in een rustig dorpje op een berg. Heerlijk zwembad. We hebben eerder villa’s geboekt via Vrbo. Maar deze stak er met kop en schouders bovenuit.

Eigentlich perfekt

Einfach wunderbar. Das Haus hat einen atemberaubenden Blick, und die riesengroßen Fenster erlauben, ihn auch an windigen Tagen zu genießen. Alles Nötige ist da, um sich perfekt zu entspannen. Die Kommunikation klappte hervorragend, Joseph hat sofort auf unsere Anfragen reagiert. Einmal haben wir uns ausgesperrt, aber Klausi hat es innerhalb von einer Stunden geregelt bekommen - und das am Sonntag! Und die im Haus zurückgelassenen Wertgegenstände wurden uns umgehend nach Hause geschickt. Noch ein Vorteil - die Restaurants in Sellia sind in ein paar Minuten Gehzeit zu erreichen - wir haben besonders die Küche und die Herzlichkeit in "Kouneno" genossen.

Haus mit herrlicher Aussicht.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Mai sehr genossen. Das Haus hat ein herrliches Panorama und eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Im Pool konnten uns immer erfrischen. Das Dörfchen Selllia mit seinen beiden guten Restaurants ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Der Meltimi ( der berüchtigte Wind) pfiff ein paar Tage und wir haben es uns drinnen gemütlich gemacht. Gechillt haben wir meistens in der nahegelegenen der Bucht Souda. Klausi , der Betreuer des Hauses, war sehr hilfsbereit . Wir können die Location aus Herzen empfehlen.

Tolles Haus in sturmiger Umgebung

Sehr schönes Haus. Wir waren Mitte März in Kreta. Der Blick aus dem Haus ist fantastisch, das Haus selber auch. Obwohl es durchweg gutes Wetter war, ist die Region und konkret die Lage des Hauses extrem stürmig. Wir konnten uns aussen überhaupt nicht aufhalten. Ich weiss nicht, wie es im Sommer ist, im Frühjahr muss man das aber bedenken und lindert die Nutzung.

Sensationelles Haus

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in einer tollen, großen und top ausgestatteten Villa verbracht. Es fehlte an nichts. Ein toller Pool in dem man mit perfektem Ausblick aufs Meer schwimmen konnte. Alles sehr zu empfehlen.

Ein unglaublich schönes Haus in unglaublicher Lage, geradezu unwirklich. Besser, als es Fotos zeigen können. Sehr groß und äußerst gelungen eingerichtet (warum ist mein Haus nicht so?), großer Pool (wurde fast täglich gereinigt), beschattete Terrasse. Im Dorf hinter dem Haus drei sehr gute Restaurants, mehrere schöne Strände in 10-20 min Entfernung (Auto). Wir hatten im August 2 Wochen fast konstant starken Wind, daran muss man sich erst gewöhnen, aber dann eben auch angenehme Kühlung (wird in den Momenten ohne Wind deutlich). Insgesamt grandioses Erlebnis.

Even Better Than It Looks On-Line!

Thea Zalia is an incredible property that is even better in person than the pictures in the listing suggest. We lacked for nothing and felt spoiled by the amazing amenities. The views from the front of the property over the sea are second to none. The village of Sellia was warm and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the restaurant Elia - so much so that we went back for a second night. The recommendations in the welcome packet (sites to visit, restaurant recommendations, etc.) were especially helpful as we planned our days. It felt like every day brought another stunning surprise with beautiful scenery, great hikes, and dips in the (bit frigid) sea around every corner. Weather was just perfect and it felt great to our cold Scottish bones (we are from San Diego on an expat assignment in Edinburgh). Joseph was very responsive and always available through the booking process. Cannot recommend this property any higher!

Ein wunderschönes Haus, mit einem fantastischen Blick. Die Fenster sind was besonderes und geben einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Natur frei. Auch im Winter ist das Haus zu empfehlen, ein Bad in Badewanne mit Aussicht in die Wolken ist Erholung pur. Das Haus ist großzügig und für Familie bestens geeignet. Herr Sanderson ist immer schnell zu erreichen und unterstützt einem umgehend bei jedem Problem. Besonders im Winter ist die Aussicht sehr vorteilhaft und man freut sich auf das Haus ,auch wenn das Wetter mal nicht so toll ist.

Traumvilla in Top-Lage

Wir haben die Allerheiligen-Ferien auf Kreta verbracht und hatten eine tolle Zeit, alles wie beschrieben, super Lage, Tavernen im Dorf schließen am 1.11., aber in Plakias und Umgebung gab es genügend Alternativen. Toller Urlaub, leider zu kurz.

Urlaub vom Feinsten

Die Lage des Hauses und die Ausstattung ist wirklich perfekt. Das Haus entspricht exakt dem Inserat, gar nichts ist geschönt!! Ein Auto unerlässlich, es gibt zahlreiche wunderbare Buchten. Im Ort gibt es zwei sehr gute Tavernen, besonders hervorzuheben ist die Taverne Elia. Bitte reservieren! Einzig der Meltemi war bei unserem Aufenthalt 25.9. bis 5.10.2021 sehr stark!
