The room was fine but the bed was creaky and uncomfortable. Neither me or my husband slept for the two nights we stayed. Would be lovely with some updates to the bed and furniture. Location is really good!!

Rooms very neglect & not clean at all lights not working stains on walls & bedding, dust & dirt, bathroom fan very noisy needs maintenace, couldnt see reflection in mirrors from dust, carpet filthy & furniture broken particularly bedhead detached from wall, entire room extremely outdated, staff were very helpful apologised & understanding gave us a free meal, but nldidnt include drinks or side's or dessert. Rooms are nothing like what we saw on line when booking, we are not fussy & generally happy with basic as long as its clean we're happy but these rooms were far from that for the money we paid very disappointed, felt particularly sorry for the wonderful staff having to deal with this. Really would appreciated at least half our money back.

We have stayed at the Old Mill probably 10 or more times and stayed in a lot of their rooms. We had room 203 upstairs in the hotel. The Staff, meals, poker room, service was all great as usual but very very disappointed in our room. It was very tiny, ridiculously musty and pillow Smokey. No extra pillows, the tissue box had 3 tissues, the soap holder hadn’t been wiped down and coffee sachets etc hadn’t been topped up. The bedhead had unscrewed from the wall and was just dangling. Cupboard wasn’t near bed and couldn’t move it so had to put the one chair next to bed for the sleep apnia machine. Only one power point that was very hard to get to and lucky I had bought my power board with extension lead. The old Mill is a great venue in a great spot with fabulous parking but rooms absolutely need upgrading. I will make sure we never have this room again. The other upstairs rooms are larger and way better. I DID ASK WHEN I BOOKED THROUGHT HOTELS,COM IF I COULD GET AN UPGRADE IF AVAILABLE. They have another room upstairs with a spa in it which is a lot better and very roomy. We will stay again as love the venue and Satff are always lovely

Bedhead screws have come out of wall.
Small room with a terribly musty smell and was also Smokey in pillows. I put a towel over pillow and put essential oils on my hands and held over nose while sleeping. And air conditioner going for five hours while we were out but didn’t help smell.

Hahndorf is a pretty town and the Old Mill is nicely positioned close to an array of dining options and shops. Accessing our upstairs room was like being in Fawlty Towers but it is an old building so some quirkiness can be expected. Our room overlooked the street and was generally ok. But the shower door was broken and the shower arm was not strong enough to stay horizontal when the shower was turned on and slumped downwards. The bed is on the hard side. We had dinner here and it was good.
