"Lachea Seaview Penthouse" is a beautiful apartment on the second floor, facing the sea, without elevator of a recently renovated ancient building, located in the heart of the seaside village of Acitrezza.

Furnished with attention to details and a fine eye to design, the apartment consists of a large and bright living / dining area fully equipped, a master bedroom with door-window sea view breathtaking, walk-in closet and full bathroom en suite with shower, two bedrooms with French mattress, a second full bathroom with shower, a second walk-in closet and a fully equipped kitchen. Concludes the apartment an internal balcony and a practical storage room.
The highlight of the apartment is the lovely terrace (fully furnished with gazebo, table, chairs, deckchairs and sunbeds) from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea, the stacks and the charming Isola Lachea. The ideal place to relax where to have breakfast, sip a drink or enjoy a meal cooked at the barbecue-corner made of lava stone. All in front of a magical view.

A strategic position to fully enjoy the magnificent view and at the same time spend pleasant days at the sea. A few steps from the apartment it is possible to rent deckchairs and sunbeds or take advantage of the free access to the sea. Rocky area with characteristic lava stone, is carefully equipped with solarium, bars and restaurants to fully experience the charm of this beautiful village.

We had a wonderful time at Daniela's place! There were three of us so plenty of room and very comfortable. We spent nearly every waking moment out on the beautiful terrace enjoying coffee and breakfast or evening wine and snacks. The place was very clean, the kitchen was fully equipped and ready for preparing light meals. It was also very conveniently located with a cafe in the same building on the first floor and so many wonderful restaurants to choose from within a block or two of the apartment. It's also centrally located along the east coast of Sicily making it easy and convenient to drive to Taormina, Etna area and Catania (all within less than an hour drive from the apartment). Daniela and her son were very gracious and responsive to all of our inquiries. I highly recommend this rental and would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Daniela and Guido!!

Highly recommend this rental with beautiful views and amazing restaurants close by, including the cafe downstairs. The apartment is clean and well-appointed. The host’s son, Guido, helped us carry our luggage, made thoughtful suggestions, drove us around for the weekend, booked a wine tasting, and even picked up traditional pastries for us to try. Staying here and having Guido as our guide was one of the highlights of trip, will definitely stay here again!

Everything about this stay was awesome. The hosts went above and beyond. Due to traffic issues, on the day of our arrival, the host met us at the airport and we followed him to the property. The view from the large patio is just perfect. You could do line dancing on the patio...it's bigger than it looks!

I cannot even put into words how beautiful and perfect this home was. It was huge!!! Huge living room, the bedrooms were large and spacious. The home was so very comfortable and welcoming!! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The bathrooms were large and beautiful. The beds extremely comfortable. The balcony and view were simply breathtaking. We sat outside on the very large balcony/patio and soaked in all of the beauty. We were right across the street from a little market and below the apartment was a wonderful cafe we ate breakfast in every morning. Our host met us at the property and was so wonderful he helped my husband. He was so very kind and explained the property to us. We could not have been happier. My children want to return to that exact property next year. The entire process from start to finish was perfect. We could not be more grateful to Daniela and her husband.

Penthouse perfection with a view

Daniela and Gaetano are gracious and attentive hosts. The penthouse apartment has an incredible view of the sea and cyclops rocks formation. It is literally above the best café in town that has the best gelato and is in walking distance to all of the great restaurants. The beds are comfortable in the three bedrooms and the bathrooms are spacious with good water pressure in the shower. Parking is relatively easy during the less busy week, just use the parking app to pay the street parking fee. We will definitely return to this beautiful penthouse department when we come back.

Great Location, beautiful views

Enjoyed our stay at this nice fishing village . Did day trips & took a harbor boat cruise that allowed us to have a swim in the ionian sea . So many great restaurants, we didnt get a chance to try them all . Great cafe below the apt, for coffee, sweets & light meals .The master in the apt was amazing with great walk in closet & ensuite . The other 2 bedroom s were small with limited closet space so for 2 couples it wasnt great but for a couple with 2 it would be fine .

Fantastic stay

Daniela and Gaetano were stellar hosts. Their property was breathtaking, one of the best we've ever stayed at. Gorgeous views, close to an amazing cafe and cute Salumeria, lots of restaurants within walking distance and close to the water. They helped us lug our heavy suitcases up to the apartment, helped us find parking and gave us a bottle of wine at check in. The apartment was stocked with everything our family needed. We took day trips to Catania and Taormina. The rocks in Acitrezza were a little uncomfortable for our young kids but we drove to sandy beaches in Catania for beach days. All in all, this was a 5 star stay for us.

Wonderful stay

Our family had a great 4 nights stay at Daniela & Gaetano's wonderful apartment. The apartment has fabulous views from the large private terrace across to the harbour, sea, and Cyclopean Isles. The apartment is well equipped for a family and Aci Trezza provides an excellent array of restaurants/cafes as well as being a great base to explore the east side of the island. Daniela & Gaetano were wonderful hosts who always replied promptly to any queries we had.

This is a great place in a great location. Located right above a bar to get coffee, granita, ice cream etc. the apartment had an awesome balcony overlooking the sea and marina.

Fabulous apartment with a wonderful view

Can’t put into words how wonderful the apartment is and have great the owners are. Fantastic apartment which is wonderfully equipped. Best ever we have stayed in. So comfortable. And the terrace and the view were to die for. Spent days seeing sites like Mount Etna and coming back and chilling. It’s close to a fab supermarket and restaurants. Highly recommend

Amazing Sicily Property!!!

Amazing location and views.

Daniellas property was wonderful. All the facilities you need. Very clean and comfortable. Great location right in the centre of town. Gaetano was very helpful and went out of his way to assist us. We would definitely recommend this property. Thanks for the lovely stay.

Lovely!

This property is exactly as it appears in the photos - the view and the sunrise are stunning! Beds are comfortable and showers were excellent. We did not have a car and asked the owner for suggestions for transportation. We were fortunate that her son (Guido) was available to transport us anywhere that we wanted to go during our stay. He ended up being one of the best parts of our vacation so I highly recommend him if he is available and if you need a driver/guide. The area of this place is outside of Catania city center but within driving for many other wonderful places (Mt. Etna, Siracusa, Taormina, etc) However, I loved just staying in the area especially sitting in a cafe where one can just immerse themselves (and appreciate) the Italian culture. I would love to come again and just spend a week of rest and relaxation at the apartment. I could spend every morning having coffee and pastry in the cafe downstairs, dining in any of the many restaurants in the area and reading and sun bathing on the deck. If I want excitement, then I could go into any of the area cities. Thank you Guido for taking me to my father's home in Linguaglossa and to everywhere else!

A great place ...

...in a great location. Apartment was big and clean, with everything you need for a relaxing stay in a wonderful, and lively, fishing village. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit, but you may need to accept parking (and Sicilian driving) can be a tad difficult at times :-)

Wonderful in every way!

We rented this beautiful apartment for 3 weeks. It completely exceeded our expectations. Upon on arrival (late at night due to flight delays) Carla and Guido were there to meet us and Guido kindly brought our very heavy bags up the stairs. He also assisted us and took my husband to the parking lot, just a block away. The apartment had large rooms and was well lit. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very large and there was plenty of closet space. One must see the large deck to appreciate the view and surrounding beauty. The apartment was stocked with every item we would need while we were there. The neighborhood had more restaurants and cafes then we had time to experience. It was a 5 minute walk to any of them. Carla was at our beck and call, answering our questions and providing suggestions on where to shop and places to go. It was, by far, the nicest VRBO we had stayed in. It Just Doesn't get any better!

This beautiful penthouse apartment is as spectacular as the pictures! It has been completely remodeled with floor to ceiling windows over looking the sea, a beautiful well appointed and modern kitchen, laundry room and cozy couch/sitting area. The master bedroom is to die for with an incredible view of the sea from your bed, a large walk- in closet and gorgeous bathroom. There are also 2 more bedrooms and bath. The apartment is spotless and the hosts are the best we have ever experienced! They are committed to ensuring you have a wonderful experience and are incredibly responsive to any questions you have. We were welcomed upon our arrival by Daniela', Gaetano and their son, who helped carry our luggage up the stairs. Waiting for us in the apartment was a bowl of fresh fruit, Proseco, juice and milk/cream in the refrigerator. Upon our departure, they insisted on coming to help us again and say good-bye. Unbelievable! Our only regret was not being able to stay longer than 3 days. We did a lot of day trips - using the apartment as our home base. We visited Taormina, Skordia, and Noto and wished we had flown into the Catania airport- 30 min away vs Palermo. We also found the restaurants steps outside our apartment to be excellent as well as the service. You can't go wrong with this place and we in fact hope to find our way back!!

Family stay in Aug 2019

We booked 11 nights in the apartment and first impressions matched the description in the listing. Location - really central to the town - above one of Aci Trezza's best cafes (serving gelato and granite, both should be tried with brioche), local stores and bakery. Lots of options to eat - and we tried a number of the recommendations from Carla. Apartment - fully supplied with all conceivable appliances one could wish for. Clean with plenty of towels. Great place to be based and less than an hour to Taormina, Etna and Siracusa/Ortigia so plenty of options to explore the key spots of eastern Sicily. 30 mins to Catania airport. Beaches - 2 mins walk to rocky beaches (which we did lots) or decks with sun loungers/umbrellas (which we also did). Plenty of other beaches can be driven to (Isolla Bella, Catania etc) Parking was fine as took the option of reserved parking (at EUR6 per day) in a nearby underground car park - kept the car cool too! Would recommend the property and Aci Trezza for exploring the eastern side of Sicily. Thank you to Carla and Guido for the help during our stay and the additional tips they gave us. Great accommodation and host, highly recommended

Spacious penthouse apartment with amazing large terrace looking over port and sea , situated in lively street of small village. Fully equipped modern house and from here you can easily explore the east coast or have a chilled time in this lovely village. The host is minding her guest into perfection. You can find restaurants, bars, supermarkets, vegetable and fruit shop across the road and a parking garage nearby (5 euro / 24h). We had a great 2 weeks holiday and can highly recommend this place.
