Upon check-in I was given a room that wasn’t the one I had paid for, when I complained the staff told me that it was valentines weekend so they are very busy, after a while they agreed to move me. I got food poisoning from a room service club sandwich and was very ill for 4 days. The hotel room air con was very noisy and didn’t work very well. The room only had hot water when you left the bath tap and sink tap on for over 5 minutes. The room was only on the 8th floor so this was very odd. I complained about this twice. Overall the hotel room was very worn and the bed I had wasn’t very comfortable. I also found it very odd that I was given a wristband and charged for having a pool lounger with a towel in a 4/5 star hotel! To be fair though the majority of the staff are extremely friendly and nice.

Had to change 3 times room, 1. No airco, 2. Door could not close properly, 3. Decided to pay extra and got an upgraded room and cpuld sleep with airco but no warm water. Supposed to be 5stars, at tye rates charged. Is just poorly run with people who are not interested to help you. I am a platinum member with accor, di could care less.

Hotel ivoire used to be the beacon of Abidjan. While still ok, there are things you do no expect in a property like this : hot water a couple hours a day only, slimy pool bottom and milky water, ladies of the night invading the bar areas after 8pm are among the disappointments. On the other hand, the personal is extremely attentive, helpful and nice.
