Overall it was fine. I was hoping for a better bistro type menu. The choices were very heavy on carbs and fried food. Can't blame that on the pub but on the Marstons chain. Given the disappointment in the restrictive menu, the food service and presentation was very professional and reasonably quick. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and made me feel most welcome.

I booked into the hotel, allocated my room and I thought I would watch tv but there was no tv, the picture was pixelating so I went down stairs to tell them about it, a young manageress said she would come upstairs and show me how it worked but she couldn’t’ So she said she would move me into another smaller room, costing £90 a night with NO breakfast, I was in the military for 18years so I love to have clean rooms, I am afraid it went downhill badly, you will see what I mean by the included photos, I felt sorry for the cleaner who was doing everything on her own

Third time we have stayed at the lamb and flag , i do not usually leave reviews, the staff are friendly and helpful, lovey place can’t recommend enough, all I can say is try it you won’t be disappointed

Slow check in. Room is functional. Bedside light didn't work. Soap dispenser in bathroom virtually empty. Shower get dispenser broken. Lots of noise from bathroom of next door room. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk. Tv fine. This is a convenient hotel for my purposes but it is overpriced at £85 per night single occupancy.

Great time

Absolutely loved our trip for valentines weekend, the place was lovely and staff super helpful and friendly. Room was clean, our only gripe that while the bed was comfy, the base of the bed had seen better days and was incredibly squeaky with the slightest movement. Not good for a valentines getaway, but rheres always got to be something. Informed the staff and they said they'd ask the cleaner to check it out. I would highly recommend Lamb and Flag for a stay, and at the time of this review. They are dog friendly.
