"Once we got into the house, things went alright. However, the address is not compatible with Apple or Google Maps, both of which tried to navigate us to an impenetrable hillside. Turned out there was an unmarked gravel road to access the property that wasn’t made clear in the listing or communication. I received multiple messages that were supposed to have a code to get inside, but none actually included a code and I had to request it specifically. The code I received, and information about where the lockbox with the key would be, were completely incorrect. I was told the lockbox was on the garage across from the front door, but the property has no garage on site. Thankfully, the number for the property management company was included in a message and I was able to call. That person had some trouble but was eventually able to provide a completely different code (from digits to format) and I could access the key in the lockbox I found. Inside was mostly as advertised. The bathroom smelled like mildew and had a dehumidifier that didn’t seem to work. The hot tub was quite nice."

"Wow! The beautiful Elk River…serene, close to the coast, but away from it all. It rained the first night we were there and listening to the rain instead of traffic and city noise was amazing! It is rustic, large, and big enough for a huge family gathering. There was only 4 of us, but a larger group would get a fabulous deal. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking for lots of people. The owner was welcoming from the beginning and very responsive. I shared pics with a friend and she said “I hope this is what heaven looks like!”"

"This VRBO is a nice space with a living room, bedrooms, spacious bathroom and kitchen great for 2 or so people. Nice, quiet neighborhood with different directions to walk to town, the city park, Agate beach. Rick, the host was so accommodating, really helped at the time of check in and made himself available for any questions or needs.This pet-friendly space was comfortable for my dog, in the house or spacious yard, and he home is in good location for evening walks around the neighborhood. Id stay here again when in the area."

"This is a cute cabin. However, the smell that hit us when we got into the rental was horrible. The floors were sticky and visibly had dirt and mud and food. Every surface was dusty the dishes weren’t clean and cobwebs everywhere. Outside in the area Set up for relaxing. The chairs were covered in bird experiment as well as the whole patio. After discovering the smell was coming from the shower we had to drive back into town by septic tank safe, cleaners, and cleaning implements to get rid of the smell and clean the rental. We were determined to have a great weekend. The spiral staircase is very cute. However it is not put together well and rattles anytime you go up or down it which you have to do all day. I contacted the owner to let her know that the place was very dirty and smelly, but that we cleaned it and basically was told. Thanks for the feedback. After paying almost as much as the rental in cleaning fees, I would not recommend going to this cabin unless you’d like to clean it first. We left it 100% cleaner than we found it. The only thing they would have to do is laundry. This was disappointing and I won’t spend that kind of money again I’ll just stay home and clean my own house for free."

"Our group of 5 really enjoyed our stay at this VRBO for 3 nights. Laura, the host was so helpful in making sure our plans worked out. Great communication, anytime I would message her! Plenty of space for us and our two Golden Retrievers. House was well stocked with everything one would need for an extended stay. Home was very clean. Location was perfect. View could be better with some tree trimming, but again, not a big deal. We would not hesitate to stay here again. It was really comfortable for us. 3 bathrooms meant no waiting lines. Could use extra seating in the livingroom for evening relaxation, but again not that big of a deal. We do not regret what-so-ever booking this home for our stay. Everyone in our party enjoyed it. We slept well and enjoyed our evenings after returning from our adventures around Port Orford. Barbecue on the deck was a plus too."
