Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is located just south of the city of Vancouver and is accessible by way of Southwest Marine Drive and the Vancouver-Blaine Highway.

Flights to Ninoy Aquino International (MNL) generally take 14 hours, so be prepared for a long trip. Ninoy Aquino International lies south of Manila, which can be reached via the Metro Manila Skyway, one of the easiest ways for travelers to get into the city.

Manila is the capital of the Philippines and it’s also an ancient city with lots of different historical sites that curious travelers can visit. The oldest place of interest is located east of the city and it’s where the Angono Petroglyphs, the oldest known works of art in the Philippines can be found. These rock wall carvings prove that the area has been inhabited since around 3000 BC.

Recent historical sites include the walled city of Intramuros, which was built in the late 16th century. Nearby, the expansive Rizal Park is akin to the U.S. National Mall, and features Manila monuments, museums and government buildings.

Manila’s climate is tropical. The city experiences drier spells from December to May, but the rest of the year sees heavy rainfall. The temperatures are mild and usually only range from 70 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
