Fly away from trendy San Fransisco and into high-tech Seoul. Incheon International Airport (ICN) is considered one of the finest in the world, and it is the gateway into all of South Korea for both the business minded, and those on vacation.
You don't even have to leave ICN to enjoy a slice of Korean culture; the terminal's Korean Culture Street will introduce you to local history and tradition in no time. When you're ready to head out, pick up your rental car and drive into the high energy of downtown Seoul.
Before you leave the airport, get a massage at Spa on Air, to loosen your travel-weary muscles and stretch your legs at the ice skating rink. When you're ready to explore, take route 130, the airport expressway, into Seoul. Park your car at Seoul Station and take the train out to Jisan Forest Resort for some skiing, or you could choose to stay in the city and soak in the latest trends in the now-famous Gangnam district.
You can expect your flight from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to ICN to take about 12 hours. When you arrive, you'll find the local affiliates of Hertz and Avis on the main floor. If you have a layover on your way to Japan or other Pacific destinations, take a drive along Incheon's Hangang River, or visit Seoul's Lotte World, the world's largest indoor theme park.
