Typical flight times are three to five hours in duration to Orlando International Airport (MCO), and upon arrival in Orlando, you will be only six miles from the city of Orlando itself. The Jeff Fuqua Boulevard is the main access road nearby the airport.
Walt Disney World is the number one area attraction, but it isn’t the only one in the area. Sea World is also close by, boasting huge aquariums, whale and dolphin shows, and touch pools.
Universal Studios is a combination theme park and working film studio, designed by Steven Spielberg. The Orlando Science Center is very kid-friendly and features exhibits from several branches of science including mechanics, biology and others. The Basilica of the Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe is a cathedral featuring stunning stained-glass windows and with seating to accommodate more than 2,000 worshipers.
One of the reasons Orlando is such a popular vacation destination is its year-round sunny, warm weather. Every month of the year in Orlando averages 70 degrees or above, and no month will average below 48 degrees. The summer months can be more humid and have a bit more rain, including the occasional Atlantic storm that passes through.
