Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) is located 13 miles southwest of downtown Cleveland just off OH-237 in Berea, Ohio. The airport is accessible from I-480, which also provides access to I-71, I-77, I-90 and I-80 (Ohio Turnpike). Departing passengers can use the RTA Rapid or bus lines to reach the airport as well.
Flight times from CLE to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) are usually 90 minutes nonstop. ORD is situated near I-294 and I-90, which connects to downtown. Arriving passengers can access public transit services to their hotel or Chicago’s city center.
Visitors to Chicago should stop into Millennium Park and see the Bean, a giant, mirrored bean sculpture. Navy Pier offers a boardwalk with rides and shops in the warmer months. Willis Tower, formerly the Sears Tower, is another must-see attraction.
For animal lovers, Shedd Aquarium and the Lincoln Park Zoo are available. The Field Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Science and Industry are educational points of interest. The Chicago Riverwalk is a great outing in any weather, but winters on Lake Michigan can get cold, so bundle up.
Chicago tourists generally stay in one of the many airport hotels located near O’Hare, or in the Loop or Lincoln Park neighborhoods. Chicago is known as the Windy City and is right on Lake Michigan, so travelers should pack a light jacket even in summer months.
