An epic vision in EDM
Growing up in California, Jeff Montalvo was obsessed with music from a young age. He moved from playing bass and guitar into electronic music when he realized he wanted complete creative freedom. He began to focus on trance music after going to his first rave, and in 2010 he became Seven Lions. His remixes of songs by artists like Florence and the Machine and Oceanlab garnered him attention in the EDM scene, and he began touring. 2012 was a breakthrough year for Seven Lions – he released his first EP, was signed by Skrillex's label, and landed on several charts with Days to Come. He has become a favorite at festivals, performing sets at events like Electric Zoo, Electric Daisy Carnival, TomorrowWorld, SXSW, and more. Albums like Worlds Apart, featuring vocals by Ellie Goulding and Kerli, and Creation have been massive hits in the EDM world.
