From Home Recording to Dance Hit

Clemens Rehbein and Philipp Dausch met as students, bonding easily over their shared musical passions. They blended an acoustic singer-songwriter mentality with electronica undertones and promoted their music online. Their debut album was recorded at home – along with the viral hit "Stolen Dance." With millions of YouTube views, dozens of blog articles, and the No. 1 spot on charts across the world, "Stolen Dance" slingshot Milky Chance to fame. After nailing a record deal, Milky Chance officially debuted with Sadnecessary. Singles like "Down by the River" and "Flashed Junk Mind" became cult hits. By the time this German duo toured in the U.S., their fan base was so strong their debut show at the Bowery Ballroom sold out.

In 2017, the band released Blossom, their second album. The album contained 14 songs including “Bad Things” with Izzy Bizu. They group toured this album worldwide through 2018, visiting more than 26 countries and performing in over 160 shows. In 2019 they released their third album, Mind the Moon, which toured in 2020. Besides the attention from their worldwide tours, they've become festival favorites, performing at events like the Reeperbahn Festival, Coachella, and Lollapalooza.
