A Mysterious New Star in EDM

Initially Marshmello’s identity was completely hidden from the public as he wore his custom helmet for all public appearances. In 2017 Forbes concluded that the artist behind the mask was Chris Comstock. His stage name, the alternative spelling of the smores treat “marshmallow”, was inspired by the Canadian electronic music producer Deadmau5, who wore a dead mouse mascot head. He first released singles online in 2015, followed by his debut album, Joytime, in 2016. Marshmello's popularity soared when other DJs, like Zedd and Jack Ü, allowed him to remix their tracks and superstar artists like Skrillex and Diplo spread his music. 2020 Tour

Marshmello was on tour in the fall of 2020 alongside grand support of Galantis, NGHTMRE, and SVDDEN DEATH. He called the tour the Joytime Into The Melloverse Tour and it included 16 dates.
