About Kansas - The Band
There are few songs that are as universally and timelessly beloved as Kansas's hit single, "Carry On Wayward Son." Superstars of the 1970s progressive rock movement, cheap Kansas – band tickets are a hot item. Grab your cheap tickets here to see these legends for yourself!
Kings Of 1970s Rock
Started in Topeka, Kansas released their first album in 1974. Their unique progressive rock sound, boogie and heartland rock with violin mixed in, garnered them a loyal following. The band toiled in the recording studio and on the road for several years. It wasn't until their fourth album, Leftoverture, that their popularity exploded. With the hit singles "Carry on Wayward Son" and "Dust in the Wind" in the late 1970s, Kansas became one of the biggest bands of the decade. Kansas dominated the charts for over 200 weeks and sold out concerts all around the world. However, creative differences in the band caused Kansas to disband for a short time. After reuniting, Kansas continued to tour, putting on dynamic and thrilling shows with groups like Styx and Foreigner and even sometimes with full symphony orchestras. In 2014, after more than forty years of leading the band, lead vocalist Steve Walsh retired and was replaced by Ronnie Platt. In 2016 Kansas released their fifteenth studio album, The Prelude Implicit, indicating there's no slowing down for these rock demigods.
Seeing Kansas live is a heart-pounding and thrilling experience! Pick up your cheap Kansas – The Band tickets today to rock out to their best radio classics!
