About Death Cab for Cutie
With their melodic, heart-rending, intimate style, it wasn't long before Death Cab for Cutie became the soundtrack for tens of thousands of young people's lives in the early 2000s. Dive deeper into their emotional music by picking up your cheap Death Cab for Cutie tickets and heading to a concert near you!
Full of angst and hope
After Ben Gibbard released his demo You Can Play These Songs with Chords, he realized his musical dreams would be better realized with a complete band. In 1998 Death Cab for Cutie put out their debut album, Something about Planes, which started to gain them a fan base. While their next few albums garnered them indie cult status, it wasn't until 2003's Transatlanticism that the band was slingshot to widespread popularity. Singles like the "The Sound of Settling" and "Title and Registration" were used frequently in TV shows and movies. Death Cab for Cutie pushed the boundaries of the genre with the release of Narrow Stairs, a move that could have also pushed away their fans. Instead, the album, along with the single "I Will Posses Your Heart," was nominated for a Grammy Award. Guitarist Chris Walla stepped away from the band to pursue other projects after the 2015 album Kintsugi. Since then, the band has added Dave Depper and Zac Rae to their lineup, while fans eagerly wait for the next release.
With an album out in 2018, fans are desperate to find any way into Death Cab for Cutie concerts. Make sure you aren't shut out! Snag your cheap Death Cab for Cutie tickets while you still can!
