Franchise History

Founded in 1961 in Washington D.C., the Rangers moved to Arlington in 1972. When the Rangers moved from D.C., they changed their name from the Senators to the Rangers to establish a local identity and took their name from the famous Texas Ranger law enforcement agency! The Rangers are still one of baseball's youngest franchises. The Rangers have experienced a lot of success in recent years, winning the American League in 2010 and 2011 — making cheap Rangers tickets very tough to find! Unfortunately for Rangers fans, Texas lost the World Series to San Francisco in 2010 and St. Louis in 2011 — and the franchise is still seeking its first-ever World Series title. Now after revamping the roster, the Rangers are ready for another deep playoff run — and they're ready to bring a World Series title to Arlington! Don't miss your chance to see the next great Rangers team! Order your cheap Rangers tickets at CheapTickets today before the games are all sold out!

Globe Life Park in Arlington

The Texas Rangers have called Globe Life Park in Arlington their home since 1994, though a new ballpark called Globe Life Field is set to open in 2020. The Rangers decided to keep history alive and create a retro-style ballpark for their home stadium. The beautiful facility features a batter's eye called Greene's Hill. Unlike most MLB stadiums, fans are allowed to run onto the hill if a catch-able home run is headed in that area! Don't forget your baseball cap and a bottle of water when you head to the Rangers game, though. The stadium lacks a retractable roof, so it gets pretty toasty in the stands!

After the loss of Adrian Beltre, the Rangers have some strategizing to do for the upcoming season. They are in no doubt going to need your help, so head on down to Global Life Park to support the Rangers! Get your cheap tickets to the Texas Rangers 2019 season today!
