A Staind beginning
Growing up in Massachusetts, Aaron Lewis had all the hobbies of a country boy, like fishing, golfing, hunting. Staind started in 1995 after Aaron Lewis met guitarist Mike Mushok. At first the band focused on covers and playing at local venues, but after an electric live performance with Limp Bizkit, Staind was picked up by a label. Aaron Lewis released seven studio albums with Staind with hit songs like "It's Been a While," "Outside," and "So Far Away." In 2014 the band went on an indefinite hiatus.

Success as a solo artist
