Brittany Anas (pronounced like the spice, anise—sheesh!) is a Denver-based freelance travel writer. She’s also a former newspaper reporter, federal background investigator and Pistons fan (circa 1990’s Bad Boys-era, to be exact). She’s a contributor to publications like About.com, Women’s Health, Men’s Journal, The Denver Post and more. When she’s not traveling, she enjoys coaching basketball and hiking with her pot belly pig-gremlin mix that the rescue described as a “Boston Terrier.”
