Airplane ticket costs shouldn’t stymie your summer vacation plans.  Even with increasing gas prices, you can still score plenty of cheap tickets for less than $200.

These sizzling summer fares stretch from sea to shining sea and each city in between:

  • Boston-Fort Lauderdale $176*
  • Chicago-Denver $196*
  • Dallas-Las Vegas $164*
  • Los Angeles-Seattle $126*
  • San Diego-San Francisco $138*
  • Minneapolis-New York City $178*

To find the cheapest fares you’ll need to be somewhat flexible.  It’s all about supply and demand.  Overall, the best deals will be on off-peak days and times, at alternate airports and on flights that include a connection.  Planning ahead pays off and so does snagging last-minute deals.  Just book quickly if you see a cheap ticket, because other people want your cheap seat and fares are constantly changing.

CheapTickets offers several tools that help you find the best price.
