The room was amazing. It was condo-style with little free toiletries (everything from laundry detergent to coffee). The kitchen was fully stocked and the rooms were clean. My favorite part was the fireplace which was surprisingly a real fire and super cozy. Compared to Kalahari--which my family has also been to in the past--Wilderness's water parks were a bit of a let down, but they were fun and the water slides were more exciting since we prefer raft rides.
There were two things that were rather annoying, but neither is really the fault of the host. First of all, the lady at the desk where we were supposed to pick up our parking passes kept trying to have us attend a timeshare presentation. Despite us declining at least five times (I'm sure it was more), she kept pressing on and, in the end, even forgot to give us the parking pass so we had to walk back into the building after walking out to the parking lot to go pick it up. The other was the late check in time. We were supposed to be able to check in at 4:30 PM, but that definitely did not happen. Within half an hour is still reasonable, but it wasn't until 6 PM that we were given the room key and I'd consider 1.5 hours late to be rather late. Overall I'd still give this property five stars though because the rest of the experience after the first day was great, the hosts were extremely good at communication (with several confirmations along the way), and the price was pretty cheap in comparison to other resorts at the Dells.
