"Quaint little Inn just outside Highlands downtown aptly named the Outpost. The Inn features nicely decorated , comfortable rooms and laid back ambiance. We enjoyed the outside firepit and the lobby living room area which were great places to relax after a day of hiking and site seeing. The staff was accommodating and responsive and I would go back "

"We had an incredible vacation and loved staying at this beautiful home. The setting is private and the back deck is perfect for relaxing and listening to nature. The yard has a slight slant but is not a hill. It was perfect for walking. The fire pit is easy to access. The house has two large bathrooms and bedrooms with a third bedroom on the opposite end of the home. The kitchen has everything you need to have a meal at home. The owner take great care of their guests and are available to answer questions.They are very kind and pay attention to details. As we were leaving, new pine straw was being added to the landscaping. But the real star of the show? The restaurant! It's hands down the best part, serving up delicious meals in a cozy setting. Whether I'm traveling with friends, family, or flying solo, Highlander Mountain House always feels like home. Can't wait for my next visit – it's truly a slice of heaven in the mountains!"
