    Cute and Tucked away!

Pros-comfy beds, nice staff, great canal views if you choose that type of room. Not too far from waterbus stop. Clean and they gave us champagne in our room. Easy for water taxi pickup due to canal access. Nice and quiet, out of the tourist hustle. Cons-it is a bit difficult to find the hotel from the water bus stop. It would be easier there was better signage by the hotel. You do have to wind down some infamous Venice small alleys. I wouldn’t recommend this place for solo women travelers. While Venice is typically safe, it was a bit creepy late at night making our way back to the hotel.

The rooms were clean but very small. Breakfast was fine but the breakfast room was small and very warm. The hotel was definitely not 4 star quality. There was linen bags left lying in bags in reception and in the hall. Remnants from the floods 6 weeks ago were still lying in areas all over the hotel in reception in the courtyard etc and this should have been moved as a respect for guests who were staying there 6 weeks later. The photographs on the website were lovely which was what we based our choice to book the hotel on but unfortunately in reality the hotel looked nothing like the pictures which had been very cleverly taken. Although we loved our stay in Venice we would definitely not go back to this hotel and would not be recommending it to anyone

    Great Location

Great location. Can’t request anything more. Two advice though: Staff should smile and be more friendly, Add security procedure for luggage storage.

I have been traveling to Venice for about 21 years and this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The location is perfect, the staff is wonderful, the room is the largest single I’ve seen with a full bathroom, the breakfast is substantial with lots of great options...I really can’t say enough good things! I’ll definitely stay here again! I do an some advice for those visiting Venice for the first time. Venice is a very complex place. It has a long history and ancient buildings. It has a dense urban fabric that can be confusing. Venice has a complicated relationship with the sea that means sometimes it floods....even inside the hotel. Ancient buildings that flood are not pristine...they have character...and wear...and require A LOT of very expensive maintenance. If you embrace these challenges and can still appreciate the shear beauty of Venetian culture, then you can appreciate the dedication and professionalism of the staff and quality of this hotel. I’ve read the negative reviews and those people do not understand Venice and should not have visited.
