Great hotel depending on the floor you stay on

Shinagawa Prince Hotel overall was fantastic. We started our stay on the 35 floor and we couldn’t of asked for more. Unfortunately our flights were cancelled so an additional stay was booked. We then moved further down (15th floor). Instantly we noticed that the standard had drastically changed. After another update from the airline we had to book an additional 4 nights (then put on the 9th floor). We didn’t realise the standard could drop any further. I understand that the hotels usually work this way where the lower the room the similar things were. However, we were not told that the standard and comfort of the stay would be dropped. It would seem that their main priority would be the higher floors and would put little effort to the lower floors. Unfortunately my partner and I have now come home and are experiencing back pain from the discomfort of the beds (lower levels). Overall the Prince Hotel is an ideal location with great places to eat, places to see and easy access to the JR and metro. But we would recommend booking higher levels although costs can be extremely high. The hotel itself has a lot to offer I.e pool, bowling, cinema, cafe, restaurants and 7 11.
