"On first impression, the property was impressive and very spacious. During our stay, sadly we noticed a number of issues. Overall cleanliness of the property was below standards. Ceramic flooring throughout the ground floor was not clean, leaving us with very dirty feet. There were lots of large cobwebs everywhere, bedrooms, above the Aga etc which had clearly been there for some time as had lots and lots of dust. Crockery, fridge and kitchen bin were dirty which required cleaning. Living room had a damp smell, which could have been eradicated had we been able to open the windows, unfortunately these were found to be screwed shut. The patio table was not secure and collapsed during use. Unfortunately the bath in the main bedroom leaked into the main bathroom which was a pre-existing. Toilet seat came off required securing. Overall the description of the property was not correct, there was only 1 shower in the main bathroom and only a hand held shower over the main bath (which leaked). The downstairs cloakroom was omitted from the description. Overall, the ratio of shower facilities to the maximum number of people the property could accommodate is not sufficient. We were a party of 7. There wasn't a caravan in the back garden as stated. The kitchen whilst large, lacked space to prepare food, within only a small table, there was very little counter space. There was no microwave or toaster, not massively important but would have helped. Very disappointed!!"

"Oak Lodge is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Set in a wondeful location in the beautiful Somerset countryside. The lodge was spotless, well equipped, and extremely comfortable. Would not hesitate to recommend."
