Landlady is lovely. The house is far more beautiful on the inside than the outside. The only thing that let it down was the stairs. They are that steep you may as well put carpet on a loft ladder. No good for people with mobility problems.

The best B and B I have ever stopped in

What a lovely bed and breakfast we hope its still available on our next trip to Stoke we try and come to Stoke on Trent once a year and its lovely to find a place you feel at home the room was lovely and clean and comfortable nice lounge brilliant breakfast the location was ideal plenty of places to eat out so freinds and family were able to meet us for a meal and a pint no need to drive any distance lovely landlady felt at home will definately come again

A great stopover or short stay

It's not too far from the motorway for an overnight stay and could also be an good base for exploring the local area. Stoke on Trent is not far away and Alton Towers is also within easy reach. The village itself is interesting and there are lots of options for different types of eating for an evening meal. Sue is a friendly and welcoming host and the breakfast choices were excellent

Pros: The quality of the furniture and fittings was excellent and the provision of a mending kit and bathrobes added a luxurious touch

Cons: Only the very steep stairs of an old building could be an obstacle for some but a ground floor room is available
