Stayed here only for 1 night during a business trip in room 903. Check-in was quick and friendly. Front desk even asked which floor I prefer to stay in! First time any hotel asked me during my travels! I booked the Executive room and it was great! Loved the big bathroom with the barn-style door. The design of the room is rustic, you can still see the old paint from the shoemaker times. Room even had two complimentary water bottles which was much appreciated. The rooftop bar and pool was on the 11th floor. October was too cold to try out the pool, but I appreciate the lovely view of downtown St. Louis. Great hotel and service!!

Historic building

Beautiful hotel, still doing some finishing touches. Great location, easy access to downtown. The only downside we had at this time was the roof top bar. Extremely limited hours and a unbelievably bored bar tender. The valet staff was super friendly- Larry was the best.

Money was stolen!! DO NOT BOOK HERE

My sister and friend were visiting from out of town. We've never been to St. Louis before and had heard about this new hotel opening up not too long ago. Our initial impression was that it was really nice. The room was nice, the staff appeared nice, everything was fine. However on on our second day there, we noticed that a little over $100 in cash was stolen from my sister's bag after the room was cleaned. The bag was left in the room while we went out for a four hours and we had come back to the bed made, yet the towels and couch were not cleaned up. We filed a complaint with the security but he seemed very nonchalant about the whole thing and said the credit cards could be frozen and that the "system" was down for checking the card keys so he couldn't know who was in the room and who had cleaned it. The whole thing was very strange. He did not offer to change our rooms or provide us with any money back. We checked out shortly after due to feeling uncomfortable about the whole situation. It was 7 pm and we decided to drive the 5 hours back home early that's how bad of an experience it was. We just wanted to get out of there. As we checked out the manager, Evan, did not offer to reimburse us for Saturday night (even though we did early check out) and he said he couldn't "due to the hour." The people there clearly did not care that their staff had stolen from us and violated our privacy. We will definitely not be coming back to that hotel or ST. LOUIS to say the least.
