It was clean, quiet, it is in great condition. Very clean
The setting, location, food, room, rum, etc. all were all fantastic, but most of all was the personal attention of the host, Lisette, who not only wants you to to have a comfortable, enjoyable stay, but, if you are at all interested, will help you get to know Grenada. So much appreciated. All together, a special place.
The hosts are very hardworking and accommodate all needs within reason. They put in personal time for their guests. This place is on a small hill and it has great views. If you are looking for a very quiet time, its is really nice. The food (especially dinners) and coffee are excellent. They serve local fish and fruit. They make your experience a very local one as opposed to the sand and the beach. The only two things I would say is that if you want to travel and sightsee the island, try to not make this your home base. Also the room is basic ( a local experience), If you want comfort and conveniences of a hotel, you won't get them here. All in all, it is a very pleasing place with great hosts that will be like your personal friends.
When I booked this hotel, I was aware that it wasn't in St. Georges, but I never imagined how far, and how expensive the taxi was going to charge to take me to this place that is hidden in the middle of nowhere. The owner's/management perfectly know that is very difficult to get to this place, and they should take the time to contact the guests and arrange the transportation or at least give transportation options to the guests. In my case, I arrived late afternoon, and the only way to get there was with a taxi that charged me 45 us dollars. I ignored that I could have taken a bus. Nevertheless, the road to get there for travelers that aren't open minded is going to be frightening. When you get there they serve you a pre-fix menu that is 40 EC, not 40 USD, that is good, but if you are vegan or vegetarian you should contact them ahead. In my case, if I go back to Grenada, under no circumstances will stay again in this place.
Pros: I didn't like this place.
Cons: The logistics to get there. It is the responsibility of the owners & management to contact the guests that reserve a room and explain them the options
Location: In the middle of nowhere, nothing around, only nature.
