I want to start by saying overall our stay was very nice. The hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, room was very spacious, staff was helpful and pleasant. The pool was a nice added bonus.
Unfortunately, our stay didn't turn out as wonderful as we had hoped. We booked a king suite where the bedroom door could close and be separate from the living space. I was traveling with my husband and 1 year old son. My son was sleeping in the bedroom with the door shut. As I went to open the bedroom door, it was locked shut. There was no lock on the door. In fact, the handle/door jam were completely stuck shut where we could not get in the bedroom. We called the front desk. There was nothing they could do except call their manager to come. We had managed to wiggle the handle and slam the door open to finally get in without help from the manager who had not yet arrived. As any parent could imagine, this was incredibly stressful and nerve wracking knowing your baby is trapped in a room and you have no way to get in. Clearly the handle/door jam were not working properly. The front desk staff apologized numerous time (not their fault) but we were told multiple times we would be hearing from the management team. It's been a week and we haven't heard ANYTHING. To not even hear a word whether it be a call, email, anything to say "I'M SORRY" is incredibly disappointing and unacceptable. SHAME ON YOU!
