Best for a long weekend
Charming looking place. The beach and pond were wonderful and we enjoyed that more than anything else we did. But there were a few issues that would not be a problem for a winter stay or a long weekend. On the first floor, only two small windows would open with screens. On the second floor, only one. It would have been great to be able to open the windows at night and get some of that delightful cool air we came up for. The beds were very hard and not that comfy. A foam topper would work. Plenty of blankets but had to bring our own sheets, towels etc. Didn't find that out until a week before we were to arrive. The closest laundromat was about a half hr away. Had to buy a bath mat as we didn't want to drip water on the pretty wood floor. There were Air Conditioners in both bedrooms but we came to get away from A/C. We realize that this is a "Cabin" , not a house but a few more kitchen things would be nice. I recommend that the owners purchase a toaster as it would have been nice to have that for a long stay. Had to buy cereal bowls as only two soup mugs were available. Not really good for cereal. Left a number of kitchen items there for next people. Enjoyed our stay and loved the New Hampshire experience. Picked blueberries close by and did other memorable local things. The Tamworth farmers mkt was worth going there for.
