Shanghai Home Inn - Expo Park

I revel often and stay in all levels of accommodation. Priority for me goes to location and ease of use. This property is located next door to a very useful subway stop. This is one subway stop away from a large expo I was attending and four stops away from the Magliv high speed train to Pudong airport. Getting there was faster than a taxi and easier than fighting with taxi drivers over address or directions. Also less expensive than taxi. The room is self is incredibly basic, well used but overall clean. Don’t expect much and realize that you have a prime location for expos, several subway lines and a Starbucks and 7-11 across the street. If you can handle a firm bed and a basic shower then give it a try. For example I’m used to spending $25 for breakfast at finer hotels in Shanghai so given the location and price I thought this wasn’t bad. Just be flexible. Great place for anyone traveling on the cheap looking to stretch a dollar and still get their own room rather than a hostel.

Good location by metro lines. Only 3 minutes walk from metro station. Regrettably free Wifi can only be accessed by mobile device with China SIM. Unfortunately there are no food court and restaurants within walking distance.
