    About this property

Summer 2020 is Coming!! Waterfront Haven, Close to Seattle, Shopping, Dining

    Adults-only apartments in Edmonds
A day on the Lane: Spend your days relaxing in the sun, lounging in the shade, exploring the beach, watching eagles, ships, tugs go by while you curl up with a book, or take a stroll on our country lane. Less than 30 minutes from Seattle or Bellevue and 10 minutes from Boeing at Paine Field, Everett, we are halfway between Edmonds and Mukilteo, the waterfront at Picnic Point. The Picnic Point Park with public beach has tide pools and is 1/2 mile easy walk. When the tide is out the vast beach stretches out in front where sand dollar beds, crabs, urchins and star fish can be found hiding in the sea grass. If you're here in March and April it's common to see humpback whales going by as they feed, breach and swim between Picnic Point and the southern tip of Whidbey Island. We are minutes from Boeing at Paine Field, the largest building in the USA. Numerous Museums that relate to flight and historic airplanes are very close by. VERY IMPORTANT NOTES: 1. THERE ARE MANY STAIRS! Our home is waterfront and was built on a steep lot. Thus, as the pictures depict, you go down a very long flight of stairs to enter the rental unit and back up those steps when you leave. If stairs are not a problem, you will enjoy unobstructed views and a beautiful setting to rest and relax. 2. THERE ARE NUMEROUS TRAINS, DAILY AND SOMEWHAT LESS AT NIGHT Waterfront in our area means trains, and our guests will hear (and sometimes feel) trains as they go by. For some, the sound is soothing and relaxing. It's just part of the local charm on the Lane. Earplugs are used by some for sleep, we also provide a fan in the room and guests can turn on Bath and kitchen exhaust for white noise in the room at night. You can also download "White Noise" Apps on your Smart Phone, iPad or other device if you are a light sleeper. 3. QUIET, PRIVATE LANE Our Lane is a quiet, narrow, country Private roadway and many local residents have lived here 40+ years. The nights are extremely quiet, and we ask our guests to honor "quiet volumes" anytime after 9 pm and until 7:30 am.
Air-conditioned accommodations at this apartment offer DVD players and coffee/tea makers. Rooms open to patios. Accommodations offer separate living rooms. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and separate dining areas. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations and hair dryers.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or nearby; fees may apply.

    5/5 Excellent

      The view is spectacular!!

Everything about this apartment is perfectly described in all reviews!! Spotless! Beautiful! Views! Great location! Sunsets 1 in a million! Trains (not a problem)!! But the steps are a problem if you have any health issues or in our case AGE issues!! But I’d rent it again and just be prepared. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful spot.

        Dream Stay

Wonderful accommodations. We loved the location we loved the sweet communication was easy with the owners. The place was everything we expected plus more. Beautiful sunsets and listening to the noise of the water was great in the evening. The trains didn’t bother us at all. And from reading previous reviews about the 66 steep steps, that is accurate. I only went up the steps once a day, so I didn’t have an issue. We liked the fact that we were in a very secluded location. Every day I searched online looking for local activities to do and that really paid off we were able to find a concert in a winery, a Edmunds artist studio art tour, and our hosts were gracious enough to recommend restaurants when we needed them. The only reason I hate giving five stars to this rental as there may not be it may be availability next time I want to go back.

        5/5 Excellent

          Short stay. Fantastic view!

Property is great, clean and fantastic views! Get ready to hike up some steps, which we loved since we hike and bike and love to work out. Great stay.

          5/5 Excellent

            A great stay

We really enjoyed the view from the well-done unit, which was clean, comfortable and quiet, except for an occasional train going by below, and that was not a big issue. The only difficulty with this is the 66 steps down to the lower level, followed by about 25 steps up to the unit. And, then, of course, the 25 steps down and 66 steps up to depart. Otherwise this is a great place and we highly recommend it.

            4/5 Good

              Great view.

Lovely space. Questions answered very promptly.
