The service is top notch, the room was spotless and a very quite place also which I loved during my stay, you'll hardly hear any noise other than yourself. They have a good breakfast both American and Continental. The owner is very reachable and will help with anything you'll need to make your stay as good as it can be.
Greta location, next to the theatre! Clean rooms, nice staff.
Located near La Plaza de la Cultura, directly across the National Theatre- Homey atmosphere, secure quiet neighborhood, friendly staff knowledgeable of area. Great breakfast and presentation. Clean, efficient room, bathroom could use a better shower design- Kitchennete not fully stocked, and room's lighting could be improved- For a short stay, great no-frills value for this location.
The owner and other staff of this are very nice and helpful. The location is convenient to downtown Santo Domingo including the Plaza de la Cultura (lots of museums and performance venues), the subway. It is a couple miles from the more touristy Colonial Zone. The hotel is safe and clean, however, it is somewhat dated. For example, the only hot water is in the shower from an electric shower head. There is a kitchenette present with a small fridge and a gas stove top, but no microwave. The AC in my room was either on or off without much ability to adjust temperature so at night, I could either be a little too hot or too cold. None of these things would really bother me if the hotel were a bit cheaper, but it was $60 a night and you can find plenty of more updated hotels in SD for that price.
