      Family Trip to San Ignacio

Our extended family of 9 had a wonderful time staying here. Great house, well set up for separate couples/families. Well appointed kitchen and living space. Pool area was great - wonderful views, area to hang hammock, owners even set up a grill for us which was great. Communication was excellent from the start, owners providing additional information on sites and tours. On site staff were fabulous, very friendly and accommodating. Location was great, not too far from town - can walk, a bit steep coming back up but taxis pretty easy to find. Would highly recommend for larger family or groups of couples looking to explore the area.

Perfect stay in an amazing town

We went to Hill House with friends for a one week stay in San Ignacio. It turned out to be the perfect fit for our group of 8. We had a family of four with two teenagers and two couples. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, and the house is very well laced out for groups. When we were in our large master (there are two) downstairs, we never even noticed people being up late or coming and going. We had a beautiful bathroom with a tub and shower, and plenty of towels. They do supply shampoo and soap also. We had a van, so I never walked into town, however the kids did numerous times and one of the other couples. There are many restaurants and fun things to explore in town, and the cave trips are amazing in the area. We easily crossed the border for a trip to Tikal one day also. The pool is lovely to come home to after a day out exploring. It is beautifully clean, and a fun area for the group to hang out around. Our caretakers were very helpful, and always responded to any question very promptly

          Comfortable home

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay at this property in San Ignacio. Beds were comfortable, each bedroom had it's own bathroom and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed including a blender for our daily pina coladas by the pool. The pool was clean and refreshing. We were so happy to have it after the hot, humid days exploring the jungle. We did all of our tours with Terry's tour company (Cayo Inland Expeditions). Our tour guide, Dimas, was very knowledgeable and made sure we had a great time. Terry also arranged for transportation to and from the airport which went very smoothly. Thanks for making our time in San Ignacio so fun and memorable!

Gorgeous view, spacious and comfortable house

Our family of 6, two seniors, two adults and two teens really enjoyed the stay at Hill House. The place was very clean, well organized and comfortable for all of us. The beds are soft, there are spices in the kitchen along with lots of dishes and pots & pans. From the pool deck we saw howler monkey getting ready for an afternoon nap and lots of birds. The view of the Macal river is stunning as well. Terry and Adi, Elbia and Solomon help to make sure your stay is what you hoped for. We took a couple of tours with Maya Walk to ATM caves and Tikal which we recommend, you can also explore on your own. Great location and good people.

Lovely house with spectacular jungle view

My extended family of 10 had a wonderful stay here! It's close enough to walk down into the quaint downtown of San Ignacio. Don't miss the Farmers market with 3 tacos for BZ $1, soursop ice cream and delicious fresh produce! The bedrooms and bathrooms are gorgeous and everything you need is provided (shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, plastic wrap, bottled water, spices....). Keys to all doors were provided and we felt very safe. This is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy visiting Xunantunich and other Mayan ruins, cave tubing (must do!), zoo, and much more!
