"Lovely site. Stayed with seven adults and two children end of September. Great facilities but would recommend a car as taxis are scarce. We still managed to get ferries etc mainly from Portese which is around 20 minutes walk, but a very steep hill coming back. Shop could have sold more provisions and without a car the Supermarket is a long walk. But saying that it is manageable. Saying all that we had a great time . Salo is also walkable even for my husband and I in our sixties "

"A beautiful apartment overlooking the piazza snd the lake. Great location to get to anyplace in Salo. After traveling g in EU for a week prior, it was great having the washing machine to refresh clothing. Directions could have been better as the actual apartment didn’t really follow numerically. Also, knowing to park first in the structure and bring luggage down would have been helpful as there is limited parking on the street. We figured it out with some local Italians who helped us locate the apartment and spoke to the property manager for us. They too agreed the instructions were not too good. That is our only complaint. The property was perfect for our stay!"

"Hotel is in a quiet lakeside spot. It is spotlessly clean and very well furnished. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. There are a couple of restaurants by the lakeside if you want to eat out and the ferry dock is a couple of minutes walk away, if you want a boat trip on the lake. We will definitely stay here again. "

"Fantastic stay, beautiful hotel and the rooftop pool and bar area are amazing...we spent all of our time up there. We had a 2 bedroom lake view apartment which was very comfortable, had all amenities we needed and a stunning view of the lake. Only slight drawback was that the balcony itself was not as clean as we would have expected. "

"We loved our stay at Hotel Laurin. The property is far more impressive than the pictures let on. It’s a stunning building with beautiful and historic common areas. We really loved having breakfast on the patio overlooking the lake in the morning. The staff were very hospitable and helped us book a great boat rental. We were also treated to a free upgrade and loved our renovated room with the lake view. "
