Love this hotel but they overbooked our type of room and wanted to split up my family in different rooms. Offered me what amounted to less than 10% refund as compensation (which I never got). Disappointing experience at our favorite hotel in Rochester
The hotel will be closing in a week for 10 months of renovations. Restaurant was closed, pool was closed half the time, air conditioner in room leaked water on carpeting. Location in downtown is great. Will probably be outstanding after renovations.
The location was great because the skywalk attached to the convention center. The room however, was less than impressive. There was a lack of outlets in convenient locations. Hot water wasn't always a guarantee. Our toilet broke a day into it and we had to wait for maintenance to find a piece to replace the broken one. Even after it was "fixed", it didn't work all that great.
Great staff. Very friendly.
