- Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities
We came for medical care at the Mayo Clinic and chose this hotel because of the kitchenette. Our first room was the top floor and a long way from the elevator and my husband is handicapped and I had requested to be close to the elevator. The room carpet was extremely dirty around the whole room but not to bad everywhere else. Then we were told we had to move out of this room because of remodeling, but then they never told us we were to be out on this day and I got a nasty call from a manager while we were at the Mayo in appts, she was so rude and asked why were not out when are you done, you need to move now, and I told her we were not told and she hung up. We moved, they never offered assistance and we got a first-floor room which was so filthy. I went to the front desk to show her pictures of the disgusting toilet and bathroom, besides the rest of the room. She never came to look and said they would tell housekeeping and we waited for them but they never came to clean. I then went again and the Manager came down with a cleaning bottle and rag and cleaned the toilet up. This was on a Sat and took until Monday and Tuesday to clean things up enough to stay there. We were in this hotel for almost a month and we should have left but my health and my husband's health was not up to making the move and we had no car. They never apologized for anything, they were always rude to us and it was a terrible experience. I forgot to mention how filthy the washers and dryers were too.
