The Preston has a modern feel without feeling sterile. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The heat wasn't working in my original room and Alberto promptly tried to troubleshoot the issue. In less than 15 minutes he diagnosed the issue and upgraded us to a nicer room for our trouble.
Walls were nice and thick so I wasn't bothered by the neighbours and the area, in general, is quiet and quaint. The complimentary breakfast was nice and featured frittata, bagels, muffins, fruit, juice and coffee but was far from comprehensive; probably best for a quick bite or a grab and go scenario.
The hotel itself is a 15-minute walk from the nearest LIRR station.
The only complaint was that in my room when I tried to take a bath the water filled extremely slowly (would take over half an hour to fill halfway) and eventually only poured warm water instead of hot water.
Still an overall great experience and would go back if I were in the area.
