Good quiet hotel, near airport
This was my first solo trip, to relax and get some rest from my hectic schedule. The hotel staff (specifically Juan M and Alix) were absolutely wonderful! Extremely helpful and always smiling. The pools were clean and there were plenty of chairs. The beach was key clean as well and loved the hammocks under the trees. Restaurants were okay - I felt they were over priced. The spa was amazing! I highly recommend the sugar cane scrub (it’s $130USD) but definitely worth it. Teo was my Tech, and she was extremely good. I wouldn’t recommend the pedicure... it was a very basic service for $100USD. I attached a pic below of how horrible it was. The biggest downfall of my vacation was the location of the room. I got ZERO rest when I was in my room. I was on the 3rd floor next to the elevator, housekeeping closet, and across from the ice machine. The walls were so paper thin I could hear everything .. even with ear plugs I couldn’t sleep. If it wasn’t people going up and down the elevator, it was the housekeepers speaking loudly to each other, or it would be loud banging doors. If it wasn’t all of that, people would be getting buckets of ice all night... people above me sounded like they were dropping bricks on the floor, dragging furniture ... I could not sleep! Best sleep was on the hammock by the beach. My suggestion would be to ask for a room on the 4th floor AWAY from the elevator and ice machine. If I was guaranteed that, I would definitely book the hotel again.
