The worst experience I've had in years, and definitely not expecting it from a place like this. The hotel did not have my confirmed stay and made me pay a cash deposit until they did have it, all while not making any effort to retrieve the information only showing me their email with current reservations, all of them around 1pm that day...I arrive at 10pm...a hotel with no reservations after 1pm..sure! But it can happen if people now how awful it is. Room had a noisy ceiling fan and a broken air conditioning. I call front desk and again, the staff couldn't care less and after waiting 30 minutes for a "technician" whom I knew was going to do nothing at all, he simply said it was set to the lowest point and was not going to cool down more than that. The room is so old the wall plugs are from the ice age and most of them don't work. Food is terrible and don't believe the free wifi. They give you 15 minutes 'free' each day only at the lobby. The place is a terrible and worst of it? The staff too. But I guess it comes with the conditions. No investment to the hotel, poor conditions to the staff. And it reflects. A shame! I am dominican and expected a lot more from a hotel in Punta Cana being the most visited coastal city in the country. Plenty of other great options around, except this one.
